Michael Smolens is on his way to Linz to receive the Ars Electronica Award tomorrow for creating dotSUB. This browser-based tool is taking a wikipedian approach for creating subtitles. We had the exciting opportunity to meet with Michael in Munich today to discuss a few ideas for a future collaboration. Check out the video below for the amazing translations already available on dotSUB.
Just like Wikipedia, you can also take any exisiting subtitle translation and improve it: the powers of online communities come to life.
