In 1999, Hubert Burda founded the Hubert Burda Center for Innovative Communications at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva, Israel. Before last year's kinnernet we've met with the team heading the Center and discussed several future projects. Now when we returned one year later it was very exciting to see how the research projects have evolved. One project is particularly exciting to me as it uses weblogs as a means to encourage dialogue between Israeli, Palestinian, Jordanian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Saudi, Iranian, Iraqi, Libian, Sudanese, and Syrian bloggers: the Good Neighbors Weblog. It was launched in November 2006 and recently got covered by Israeli newspaper Haaretz: Twin cities
