Down and out at Kinnernet
About 150 uber-geeks gathered at Sea of Galilee ("Yam Kinneret" in modern Hebrew) to discuss the future of the Internet, the future of mobile devices, the impact of broadband and risotto cooking. It's been an exceptional experience so far and it's what I would consider the blueprint for unconferences. Sessions are self-organized, anyone can start a group discussion, business pitches are strictly prohibited, yet there are plenty of very educated business dicussions.
The Internet connection isn't very stable though so there hasn't been much blogging. Tim managed to upload at least one podcast. Marc Pincus is blogging via Blackberry. Maybe the connection will be better today. But heck, it's nice and warm, there is plenty of coffee and a group conversation about VoIP is about to start...
