Gizmodo and VNU

A lot of people already noticed the looming launch of the European editions of Gizmodo. The German edition, for example, can be found here. Now Forbes is quoting VNU's Dominique Busso with some background information:

Dominique Busso, head of Haarlem-based VNU's Web operations, said about half of each country's postings will be contributed by local writers, who will also act as translators.
"Our bloggers are very independent, they have no chief editor," he said. "We reserve the right to pull a story, but we're not expecting that."
