Google Talk

talk.google.com is connected. But what will it bring? Just Jabber-based chat? IM is a sticky service, but not really anything new. Is it purely a path to VoIP? Will I - in the spirit of GMail - be able to store all my voice conversations online and search for keywords?

No you won't. G-Talk cannot even search for its own chat conversations, nor can Google Desktop. Interestingly, GDT can search for old AIM conversations, though.
