Tripping
Today I want to praise Lufthansa for their SMS alert service. I received my alert at 5:50 AM this morning, informing me that my 7:45 AM flight from Hamburg to Frankfurt had been cancelled. Hooray also to the reservation agent at the Lufthansa call center that was able to change my reservation to the only other available flight at 6:55 AM. Then big thanks to the cab driver who took me to the Hamburg airport in record time (even including the extra time needed when I realized I had forgotten to take along my passport about half way to the airport). I am not sure I want to live through this again. But it all worked out alright.
So now I am sitting at the Atlanta airport, waiting for my connecting flight. And because today is my lucky day, the air conditioning at the airport broke down which makes my stay here extremely pleasant at 31 C and 90% humidity.
I am about to have my first AirTran experience. The flight is supposedly neither cancelled nor delayed. Keep your fingers crossed.
