Das Vierte
In about 6 weeks NBC / Universal Studios will launch "Das Vierte", the free TV station nobody in Germany has been waiting for. It will bring us reruns of all the TV series we used to hate when we were teenagers. "Knight Rider", "Simon & Simon", "Magnum P.I.", et cetera. Who still watches this crap? It's not like there haven't been reruns in the past. Who needs this? Who is the audience? People that didn't own a TV set in the past 40 years? "Das Vierte" screams "we are cheap". It's like they have all these old B movies and TV series in their closet, they need to do something with it, why not show it to the Germans? Thank you, NBC / Universal, for your quality programming.
Their stupid Flash/pop-up web site was created by Jung von Matt/next. I thought pop-up sites were out 10 years ago. Well, so was "Knight Rider", so maybe there is a fit.
Ich stell mir eher die Frage wie es mit "Super RTL" weitergeht, nachdem mit "Nick" und "Das Vierte" (selten dümmlicher Name) ja zwei Sender starten, aus dessen Pool sich Super RTL bisher sehr gut bedient hat (Spongebob, Blues Clues, Simon and Simon, Quincy, ...)?!
Aber auf Deine Frage: Simon and Simon und Knight Rider schaue ich mir ab und an durchaus noch an, das ist zuuu lustig in Kindheitserinnerungen zu schwelgen und sich zu fragen warum man diesen Trash damals so gemocht hat ;-)
Thanks, Thomas, me too. I want to see these old series, or - at least have the choice to do it. Hope they'll show 'Ein Colt für alle Fälle' and 'hart aber herzlich' as well.
But there's Kabel1 already. So why do we need another? Why I axe you, why?
das Vierte hat aus dem Grund so einen blöden Namen, weil sich die Macher erhoffen, das es auf Programmplatz 4 bei den Fernsehern abgespeichert wird. Ich denke nicht, das es eine konkurrenz zu Super rtl ist, da in srtl mehr für junge leute drin ist, in das vierte kommen eher filme.
