Thomas Nephew continuing his German blogger series: EU Constitution referendum defeats.
Thanks for the link, I hope some discussion results on my blog or on yours.
Some of the German blogs I looked at were discussing the NRW election; maybe that election and the looming national German election account for the somewhat low German blogger interest in the EU results (present company excepted) -- or maybe I'm wrong about the low interest in the EU results.
As a new member of the gouverning SPD party I see no other way for Europe as to repeat just the referenda in The Netherlands and France.
Are there any alternatives?
But even in opposition over a large part of Europe against this constitution I see something good: it proves that we have already really working European political movements. This is already a result of the work of the Bruxelles burocrats, which is criticized by the opposition.
