Why are Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and French President Jacques Chirac urging other EU members to continue the ratification process? Two EU founding countries have said "NO" to the Draft Constitution. Isn't that enough? What good is it to keep the process alive now? Do we have to wait for the Danish vote? They should rather urge their bureaucrats in Brussels to get back on the drawing boards.
I should start referring to the Draft EU Constitution as the "Terri Schiavo Constitution".

I think they want to have some kind of "complete" overview on how the constitution is received. At least that seems to be the main reason.
Then again, did you ever hear of anything the european organisation conceived "efficiently"? They created (very efficiently) a very large complex of bureaucrats. Thats what the EU is about. Keeping european bureaucrats in labour. :)
Heard even Luxembourg was considering the constitution. Some people should get a life. The Washington Post had a nice article about how badly France needed a person like Bill Clinton to lead into the new century (... they are a bit late already).
Please 75 million people against the constitution is a sign that Europe's leaders should take serious. Yeah let's wait for Denmark (where I am located) and the UK to reject it..... but can't the money spend on the referenda spend a bit more wisely?
As I allready posted on my WiPo Blog, we are again overruled by some disconnected politicians. Jacques and Gerhard apparently just think that voters are there only to acclaim them and pay taxes. No wonder that they get a hefty return-coach (Retourkutsche) from time to time!
