Schröder: no head scarfs

When Chancellor Schröder says at Beckmann that he would like to see head scarfs banned in public schools, is this the picture he has in mind?
And can someone please start a discussion about banning religion as a stand-alone school subject?
Sure, count me in. I wouldn't mind. Let's ban the head scarf and the crucifix.

Hey, I asked you not to publish those pictures from my cousins wedding where we dressed up as nuns and did this silly performance ;-)
Also read up on the French concept of Laicite for more information about a similar initiative in France:

An interesting discussion between Bogo and a French member of the Intecom.org board on this subject: he was opposed to the ban, she was for it, but she torturously attempted to defend an exclusion for nun's habits as "uniforms for work." Yeah. Right.
