bahn.comfort.no

I never seem to be able to collect enough points in German Rail's bahn.comfort loyality programme to benefit directly from the services offered to qualified participants, but what I do love about the programme is the special bahn.comfort seating section which I take advantage of every time I jump on an overcrowded train. The bahn.comfort labels seem to confuse many travellers and often enough I manage to find an empty seat. Once I have made my capture, I hide behind a magazine or newspaper and enjoy the journey. Is it likely that some bahn.comfort participant will ask me if I would give up my seat? Very unlikely. Would I ask some random passenger to give way to my priviliges even if I had them? I don't think so. To me it looks like the entire bahn.comfort concept was created by some folks that never take trains. But, hey, as long as I get a seat, I guess I shouldn't complain.

Hi there,
I just wanted to say that the BahnKomfort seating is great, but just try and convince a tired and overworked "service" personal to get you a seat there when it is full of leaches who dont have the "right" to sit there on a hot friday in the ICE train from Ulm to Stuttgart is as likely as getting the GEZ to give you money back!
