Spam on the decline?
posted on 29. January 2004 at 12:53 PM
Spam delivery peaked in early January. 200+ spam emails were dropping into my inbox daily. Since then, I have seen a dramatic decline. Is it the CAN-SPAM Act? Did my ISP install some new filter? Did spammers mutually decide I don't really need all that Viagra and body part modifications anyway? It's a mystery.
So I am down to ~ 10 spam mails per day. Almost too good to be true. Life feels better.

I'm counting 54 junk mails from 2004-01-29, no decline here. It seems like I'm now getting Turkish, Arabian and Russian language spam as well, in addition to the usual Korean, Chinese, English, Spanish, Swedish stuff. On the other hand, my blog spam count is still 1, so I'm not complaining.
