Blogawards feedback loop

The Blogawards 2003 site launched yesterday. Of course I was anxiously anticipating feedback. Would people like it? Would they support it? Would they rather stick to the common German behaviour of talking it down? Would people distance themselves from something as insignifacant as a blog award in order to stand out of a crowd of sheep?
As I am skimming through the blogosphere, I see that it is all happening. Predictable, yet the outcome remains unpredictable: who will win?
I like Moe's comment:

If you don't take it too seriously, it could turn out to be lots of fun.
