Independence of Cyberspace

Maybe this is the time to look back. In February 1996, John Perry Barlow posted his Declaration of the Independence of Cyberspace. Talking to the Goverments of the Industrial World, Barlow claimed: "Your legal concepts of property, expression, identity, movement, and context do not apply to us. They are all based on matter, and there is no matter here."
The US Supreme Court still thinks differently.
