I have worked for various Internet consultancies and software companies, mostly helping to design, build and sell e-commerce systems, community portals and content management systems.
In early 2006 I moved from Hamburg to Munich to join Hubert Burda Media, a global publishing and media company, where I work as Coordinator Media Development. My current responsibilities include technology scouting, social network platforms, virtual communities, digital media innovation, and coaching.
I have been using weblog software and tools since 1999. Much of hebig.com is powered by Movable Type. I worked at Six Apart, the creators of Movable Type, where I launched TypePad in the German market.
I studied International Management & Marketing at the Internatinal Business School, Hanzehogeschool, Groningen, the Netherlands, after finishing an apprenticeship in finance with a German bank.
I enjoy digital photography, electronic music, and analog parties. I am fan of FC Sankt Pauli.
